Role Summary
The role will coordinate the provision of support to patients and relatives referred to the Oncology services for immunotherapies on the Eastern site including providing nurse led services from our outreach location in Ottery St Mary.
There is a strong multidisciplinary team within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's Eastern site, and scope to strengthen opportunities with the recent amalgamation of the North and Eastern sites providing oncology care. The Lead CNS will be a key member of this team with a remit encompassing high quality patient care and staff education.
This role will support the on-going improvement effort to reduce variation, improve patient experience of care, contribute to the Personalised Care Agenda, meet the care standard including supporting colleagues and juniors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist for Immunotherapy -Oncology to take on this Specialist Nursing leadership role as a key member within the Immunotherapy Oncology team, working within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's Eastern Site.
The post holder will be an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist and Leader within Immunotherapy - Oncology, with a track record of exceling in patient care, innovation and also the ability to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by our Trust core values. The post holder will work collaboratively to implement the personalised care agenda and building outstanding MDT working relationships including full collaboration with our charity partners FORCE and Macmillan.
You will work in collaboration with our Oncology team to help develop and deliver services across organisational, professional and beyond. You will also work closely with key areas of the Trust, forging close working relationships with both our Medical and Cancer teams and our Specialist Palliative Care team. This post will professionally support the Immunotherapy Oncology Nurse Specialist team.
It is essential that you possess Clinical Nursing leadership skills, excellent patient care, high professionalism and experience within Immunotherapy Oncology and/or specialist Palliative Care with evidence of on-going continuous professional development.
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week. Monday to Friday
