Our Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) form an essential and well-respected part of our healthcare teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the community, in our acute hospitals or with our theatres teams to name just a few.

Examples of titles used within the HCSW umbrella are HealthCare Assistant (HCA) and theatre Assistant (TA).

No previous experience or qualifications are required, just a desire to deliver excellent patient care with the support and guidance of your colleagues. You’ll quickly become a valued member of the team through our comprehensive training and induction programme and our commitment to learning and development will satisfy even the most ambitious person.

This role will start you on your career journey in healthcare and can lead into more senior support roles and registrant posts in the future – please see the information pack for more detail on this.

Working patterns - As we deliver patient care around the clock over a 24/7 period there are a range of shift patterns. These are broadly 12.5-hour day and night shifts with and hour break in the ward areas with some short shifts available and in day services shifts are broadly between the hours of 8amd and 8pm. Please do check this at your interview.

Basic salary - £20,270 to £21,318 per annum, pro rata. Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you will receive additional enhancements to your pay.
