More detail about the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join our Patient Income and Contracting team.

This role will be supporting the Project Accountant with providing activity and income data to the Community and Women & Children’s care groups.

Our Community contract is currently being rebased. NHS England is reviewing the block contract, which has been in place for 10 years. This provides an opportunity to develop our understanding of the block and establish community income processes that align with NHS England’s expectations.

The successful candidate will host regular meetings with Operational Managers to present the activity and income, working with the managers to understand variances to plan and reporting to the Project Accountant. The candidate will then support the Project Accountant in solving the data quality issues that arise from discussions with the care groups.

In addition, the candidate will be involved in the monthly processing of the data, checking and loading the information into our income system (SLAM). This role will also involve supporting the Project Accountant with queries and ad hoc projects.

This is a great opportunity if you are looking to develop your understanding of income within the NHS.
