The post holder will work as an integral part of the Hospital Facilities team ensuring a high quality service to patients.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of general environmental cleaning in all areas of the hospital.
To provide a breakfast, lunch and supper service to patients (food & beverages).
The post holder is expected to comply with Trust Infection Control Policies and conduct him/herself at all times in such a manner as to minimise the risk of healthcare associated infection.
To contribute to the maintenance of a hygienic and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors to ensure the highest standards are met at all times.
To carrying out deep cleaning following outbreaks of infectious illness and terminal cleaning of vacated isolation rooms. Duties will also include deep cleaning of healthcare premises as required of following maintenance.

Currently we are seeking a Facilities Services Assistants to join our Community Deep Clean Team. We currently have a vacancy for 37.5 hours per week.
Our Community Deep Clean Team is based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital carrying out specialized and deep cleans on a daily basis. They are also required to travel using a trust vehicle in order to provide a service to all our Community Hospitals, completing similar duties at the request of the Facilities Management.
Therefore, a Full UK driving license is essential.
You will need to be passionate about cleanliness and keen to ensure our patients are cared for in a safe and clean environment. You should be prepared to be flexible and enthusiastic with a real desire to provide the best possible environment for our patients and visitors.
We are looking for individuals who love working as part of a team but feel happy and confident enough to take on challenges and to work unsupervised when required.
Although previous hospital experience is not essential you should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a cleaning or food service environment.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours. Shift patterns vary and include alternate weekends for which there is an enhanced pay rate. Shift patterns cover between 7am - 8.00pm and do not include split shifts.
