Role Summary

  • To assist in processing income and expenditure for the charity and dealing with general administrative duties.
  • Assist with processing income from various sources and writing thank you letters to supporters
  • Preparation of cash and cheques in readiness for banking collections
  • Assist with posting purchase invoices and setting up new suppliers
  •  Assistance with bank reconciliations
  • Open and distributing of post
  • Working with Fundraising Team to assist with admin tasks as required/ appropriate for this post
  • Processing Gift Aid declarations
  • General filing of finance/admin documentation

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s most respected and vibrant organisations. FORCE Cancer Charity is based in Exeter and supports thousands of local people affected by cancer every year. We are offering an opportunity to join our Finance Team at an important time as we stand ready to take advantage of significant funding, which will help us re-establish our services in more community locations across Devon. This is a key role with interesting and varied responsibilities including accurately processing income from numerous sources, thanking donors, dealing with suppliers and banking, together with other finance and administrative tasks. The Finance Team is growing to meeting the changing needs of the organisation and the new post holder will play an important part in the next stage of our development. The successful candidate will have strong numerical, IT and communication skills and have a passion for the work of our unique charity.

This is a fixed term contract for 24 months.  For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.

Working Pattern: 30 hours per week with flexibility around usual working hours
