Role Summary
As a member of the Epic Beaker (Pathology) team, the Band 7 Configuration Analyst is responsible for assisting with the ongoing delivery, maintenance and quality improvement of the Trust’s electronic patient record (EPR) system and supervising the Band 6 Analysts. The role will be focused heavily on supporting hospital laboratory workflow design and configuration, and maintaining the system on behalf of Microbiology, Blood Sciences and Cellular Pathology, as well as supporting with Fertility and Genetics testing. This will include working closely with operational and EPR staff across the Trust's Northern and Eastern services.

Applicants will be required to have excellent IT and communication skills, with some experience of project management, and a genuine interest in achieving improved patient pathways through the development of the Epic EPR system. This fast-paced role will require exceptional organisational and planning skills to ensure the integrated EPR solution is maintained and optimised for the highest quality patient care.
Previous experience of at least one of the following is required; Epic certification, significant background in system implementation, operational healthcare / UK laboratory experience.
This role can be recruited at Band 6, with a development plan and without any supervision responsibilities. If you are shortlisted and are not currently Epic certified you will be invited to attend an online assessment. There will be a range of times and dates from which to choose. These will be confirmed once shortlisting has been completed.
As part of this role you will be expected to undertake bespoke training with Epic (our EPR Partner & Supplier). It is likely that training will be held remotely, although some training may require travel to Bristol or USA.
This role is based at Exeter or Barnstaple and will be discussed at interview.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (to be discussed at interview)
