An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours) Deputy Security Manager to join the Security Team within the Trust. The role is to ensure we have a safe and secure environment for our staff and patients. This role will work across the Acute services and community services and requires collaboration and support to our clinical areas that are affected by violence and aggression from e.g. patients who may or may not have capacity. A balanced, practical and supportive response is required to manage these challenging situations.

Main duties of the job:

The Deputy Security Manager will work across our Northern Services in ensuring that all statutory duties are fulfilled. The post holder will provide specialist advice and support on security and the reduction and prevention of violence and aggression matters to all staff and ensure that appropriate training is delivered, support investigations and liaison with the police. The role supports the Trust Lead in implementing the requirements of the Violence Prevention Reduction Standard. This requires an individual who can work autonomously and as part of the wider management team, to investigate and support staff affected by incidents of violence and aggression whilst continually assessing new processes and methodologies to assist in making the workplace safe for our staff, patients and all service users.
