Role Summary
The role will provide leadership for the Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS) teams for both Eastern and Northern Services and will also be expected to deputise for the Complaints and Patient Support Manager when required. The successful candidate will primarily be based at The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital but there will be a requirement to travel regularly to North Devon District Hospital. The Patient Experience team are looking for an innovative, motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic person to be our Deputy Complaints and Patient Support Manager. The role will support the ongoing integration of the Patient Experience function at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and will primarily lead the Patient Advice and Liaison teams. You will be expected to deputise for the Complaints and Patient Support Manager when necessary. The role will be influential in supporting the new complaints process being implemented in the Trust, in particular around early resolution with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) teams for both Eastern and Northern services.
The post holder will be required to make a significant contribution to the Patient Experience Strategy by maintaining and analysing performance data in order to produce regular reports. These reports will assist the Trust in identifying areas of learning and potential improvement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the care we provide.
Clinical experience would be desirable but not essential to the role.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
