Role Summary
Join our team – we are looking for a friendly, organised and motivated receptionist to join our busy Outpatient department. An opportunity to become part of dedicated team of receptionist covering a variety of outpatient areas, providing a welcoming and professional service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
As the first point of contact for our Outpatient department, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive an excellent experience, putting our patients at ease, treating them with tact and empathy.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and someone that has a caring, compassionate and patient focused approach. The candidate must have strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Keys aspects of the role to include:
- Providing excellent patient care, with strong customer care skills.
- Greeting patients, ensuring you confirm all relevant personal data upon check in, in line with the access policy.
- Manage clinic reception ensuring smooth patient flow
Answering the telephone and responding to enquiries promptly and effectively - Assisting and support other members of the team with additional admin duties.

We are looking for a motivated and organised receptionist in Outpatients. Working across 5 different reception areas and supporting a wide variety of outpatient specialities. The receptionist will be booking patients in using our Epic EPR and checking we have the most up to date and accurate patient information.
The role also includes answering the telephone and supporting patients and colleagues with requests. There will also be a variety of different admin duties including booking appointments and liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clinics run smoothly.
Working Pattern: 4 shifts per week typically 07:45-17:45 to include some weekend shifts
