Role Summary
The successful post-holder will carry out a comprehensive range of dental care as prescribed by a referring dental surgeon which falls within the legal remit set by the GDC to priority groups including children and adults with a wide variety of special care needs. This care may be provided in a clinic, education or domiciliary environment.
They will work as an autonomous practitioner operating within the codes of practice and professional guidelines as laid down by the GDC, with the responsibility to assess and analyse a range of options in the changing circumstances of the patient and to take appropriate action within the prescribed treatment plan.

We are looking for professional and enthusiastic Dental Therapists who are passionate about providing high quality dental care to join our committed Team.
Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Salaried Dental Service treats community and emergency patients of all ages and is based in 7 sites across Devon. We have posts based out of Barnstaple Health Centre and Exeter Dental Access Centre, both within walking distance of the city centre.
We currently have part time vacancies for experienced Dental Therapists looking for a new challenge within the Salaried Dental Service. You will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team with experienced dentists and nursing staff.
The jobholders will treat community patients of all ages within our main department and community hospitals. Experience of providing treatment under sedation would be advantageous.
Full GDC registration is essential
It is preferable to have at least 2 years’ experience in General Dental Practice, but support from experienced colleagues is available within the department. Preference will be given to candidates with a sedation qualification. Continuous professional development encouraged.
Working Pattern: 2 x 7.5 hour days per week - 2 Part time positions available
Exeter Dental Access Centre, 15 hours per week
Barnstaple Dental Access Centre, 15 hours per week (flexible)
