We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Consultant to lead our dedicated team at the Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC). This part-time role offers flexibility and a unique opportunity to provide care to children and young people who have experienced sexual harm - at one of the most vulnerable points in their lives.

About the Role
You will lead the team in delivering trauma-informed, child-centred care within a nationally recognised and award-winning service. Leading a team of forensic doctors with a diverse range of experiences and working alongside our adult service, trauma therapists, and support staff, you will:
- Provide medical assessments and support for children and young people following sexual harm
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and multi-agency working across Devon, Cornwall, and the Isles of Scilly
- Lead the delivery of exceptional standards of care within our modern, purpose-built SARC facilities
- Act as a clinical advocate for children, ensuring their safety, dignity and well-being remain central to every decision

About You:
We’re looking for a doctor who:
- Is a Consultant paediatrician or consultant in relevant speciality (emergency medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology) with experience of working with children and young people, ideally with experience in safeguarding, expert witness, child protection, or forensic medicine
- Has the emotional intelligence, resilience, and empathy to support children and families with sensitivity and care
- Works well in a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary environment
- Is committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care
