Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Consultant Cellular Pathologists with a specialist interest in gynaecological and/or gastrointestinal pathology to join our dynamic and supportive team. These full-time posts are based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, though we welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements.
About the Role
More detail about the role
These posts have been created in response to increasing diagnostic demand and the ongoing expansion of services, particularly in gynaecological and gastrointestinal pathology. Expertise in one or both of these subspecialties is required. We welcome applications from individuals with established subspecialty expertise, as well as those keen to further develop their skills in these areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the diagnostic workload in gynaecological and/or gastrointestinal pathology
- Opportunities to report on general histopathology and cytology, if desired
- Participation in the autopsy service is welcomed but not essential
About the Department
The Histopathology Department is UKAS-accredited and based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Our commitment to professional development is supported by:
- A fully integrated EPIC electronic health record system
- A digital pathology platform, enabling remote reporting
- Flexible and annualised job planning to support work-life balance
We are proud to promote flexible working and are open to discussing individual requirements to support personal and professional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pathologist to shape their career within a collaborative, forward-thinking, and well-resourced department.
