Role Summary

This Cogito Configuration Manager will lead the Cogito team to develop, maintain and provide training on the Epic EPR reporting infrastructure.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual with a passion for data, digital transformation and service improvement in Healthcare.

The role will require close collaboration with key stakeholders to optimise data workflows to support national submissions, data modelling and reporting.

The Cogito Configuration Manager will support in tracking and reporting the team’s data development and configuration whilst ensuring its delivery to scope, time and budget. As well as supporting the team, the post-holder will themselves undertake training to learn complex Epic skills and will be expected to carry out configuration build requirements. This is a fast-paced role which will utilise the post-holder’s sound data and/or operational and/or information system knowledge combined with excellent project (and/or implementation) and people management skills.

We are seeking applicants from a wide variety of NHS disciplines and welcome those who possess excellent IT skills, have a thirst for learning something new and have a genuine interest in achieving improved patient pathways through the implementation of the Epic EPR system. Epic training and certification in the Data & Reporting area is essential to this role.

Principle Duties

  • To lead a team of Business Intelligence Developers
  • Ensure changes to the integrated EPR and other systems are risk assessed and documented appropriately in the Clinical Safety Case
  • Advising key stakeholders on EPR and clinical systems optimisation and configuration and participating in clinical informatics advisory discussions with Teams across the Trust
  • Support, guide and advise operational teams in reviewing workflows both new and amended within the EPR
  • Support and lead the Trust’s BI team in the use of the EPR Databases
  • Ensure any optimisation projects achieve objectives and goals in a timely manner

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Flexible.
