We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to join our Colorectal Cancer Nurse Specialist Team for a 9 month fixed term period at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust ("RDUH").

The CNS role involves supporting patients at initial diagnosis, throughout treatment, follow-up, or end of life care across both Surgery and Oncology. We assess individuals holistically and clinically throughout their journey.

The Colorectal Cancer Nursing team place a large focus on collaborative working within the Trust. Building strong relationships with Consultants, Hospital Senior Leaders, a wide range of Healthcare Professionals to maintain an excellent standard of care.

You must possess the experience and skills to work on your own initiative and make safe effective decisions in the absence of clinical support. You will be working alongside the other Band 7 CNSs and our Cancer Support Worker being required to report directly to the Lead Colorectal CNS. We require you to have relevant Colorectal/Oncological clinical experience, or previous experience of working within a CNS role. We expect you to be dynamic and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Working Pattern: 28.5 hours per week

This is a fixed term contract for 9 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.

Preference will be given to staff with ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.
