Chief Clinical Physiologist/Clinical Scientist (Urodynamic & GI)

Role Summary

The successful candidate will perform and report a wide range of investigations including pressure flow cystometry, urine flow rate investigations and ultrasound bladder residual scanning. You will also provide a supportive role to gastrointestinal physiology investigations.

Ideally applicants will be experienced in urological physiology and will hold a relevant Masters level degree in Clinical Physiology via the NHS Scientist Training Programme, or will be a registered clinical scientist who has been through the Higher Specialist Scientist Training Programme or will have relevant equivalent experience within the urological physiology field.

Experience of performing and reporting gastrointestinal physiology investigations, would be advantageous but is not essential. 

Applications will be considered from applicants with differing levels of experience who can demonstrate enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

The Department of Clinical Measurements conducts a wide range of urological, gastrointestinal, vascular, sleep and respiratory physiological investigations as well as providing a nurse led bladder and bowel care service.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Physiologist or Clinical Scientist to join our friendly team, working primarily within the urological physiology section of the department.

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
