Cardiology Clinical Fellow

Role Summary

Applications are invited to the post of Cardiology Fellow (ST4+), to commence August 2025 for a 12 month FTC.

The RDUH Cardiology Department is a dynamic unit with an emphasis on training. The unit offers experience in all aspects of adult cardiology. We are looking for a multiple Fellows in Cardiology, to join the team of Specialist Registrars and fellows who are supported by 20 Consultant Cardiologists.

This post offers the opportunity for a trainee to gain further experience in all areas of Cardiology, in a busy Cardiac unit. The post holder will also be exposed to all aspects of adult cardiology, forming part of the clinical team for inpatients and outpatients.

 These posts are fulltime posts, with provision of on call commitment as per rota. We are looking for fellows to support in the following areas:-

  • Heart Failure;
  • EP and Pacing;
  • Interventional Cardiology;
  • General Cardiology.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the cardiology team and will expected to attend the join cardiology and cardiothoracic MDT once weekly.

 The post holder accepts that he / she will also perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant, in consultation, where practicable, with his / her colleagues, both senior and junior.
