Role Summary

To provide registered nursing skills as an accountable member of the multidisciplinary team delivering evidence based care. 

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of care and the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individual programs of care. They are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients. 

The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care and procedures, for which they are competent to practice, without direct supervision and to supervise and provide leadership to junior staff.

Are you a neonatal nurse or do you have neonatal nursing experience?

We have opportunities for nurses to join the bank to work with our team on the Special Care Baby Unit in Barnstaple.

Do you have a passion for caring for neonates and their families? Do you have good communication skills and are you committed to providing excellent family centred care in a nurturing and supportive environment? If so we would love to hear from you.

We have an 8 cot Special Care Unit in Barnstaple, which is newly refurbished and part of the South West Neonatal Network.

We provide level one care plus CPAP. Also we stabilise the very sick infant prior to transfer to the level 3 unit. We deliver individualised, developmental, family centred care to all our babies.
