Bank Facilities Assistant - Deep Clean

Role Summary

The Estates & Facilities (EFM) Bank is a friendly and flexible workforce that supports many essential services across our hospitals. 

We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Bank Deep Clean Team within Domestics to provide enhanced infection‑control cleaning across the Trust.
Full training is provided, including Domestics induction, infection‑specific cleaning, and EPIC/Rover use.
Flexible Bank shifts are available but we are predominantly looking to cover night shifts.
This role is ideal for reliable, detail‑focused individuals who want to support patient safety and gain specialist cleaning skills.

Based in Wonford, Exeter, Our Deep Clean team within the Domestics department plays a crucial part in keeping our hospital environments safe, hygienic, and compliant with infection‑prevention standards. In this role, you’ll carry out specialist and enhanced cleaning in a variety of clinical areas.


Basic IT skills are required to use respond to cleaning requests via the EPIC system using Rover access to view, accept and complete cleaning tasks.


You’ll be part of a wider Estates & Facilities community—but your work will primarily focus on the Deep Clean service.


This is a hands‑on, purposeful role where your contribution genuinely makes a difference. You’ll need good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.


Shifts are available across the week, but for this position, night‑shift availability is essential, with potential opportunities for weekend and bank holiday work. Pay enhancements apply.

Working Pattern: Varied Shifts Available including, 
  • 14:00–22:00
  • 22:00–06:00 (night shift)

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers)
