We are recruiting for the role of Associate Director of Operations and Patient Flow for our acute hospital in Exeter within Eastern Services at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (RDUH). This role reports to the Director of Operations – Sally Dootson.

With over 800 beds at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital, this essential role within our service, will have a significant impact upon patient and staff experience by leading the day to day operational management of the hospital. The post holder will work closely with the patient flow and divisional leadership teams to maintain the rhythm of the day focused on facilitating the safe and timely care of in-patients.

The post holder will also lead on a number of high profile projects, including the Urgent and Emergency Care improvement programme, as well as being a key interface with external stakeholders for operational issues. 

As the Associate Director of Operations and Patient Flow, you will be knowledgeable about acute hospital management and patient flow processes, and come with experience at a senior level within an NHS patient facing organisation. You will also have experience of leading teams of colleagues to deliver on improvement and transformation programmes and have a passion for building strong and effective relationships to achieve the very best for patients and colleagues.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
