Role Summary
This role as a Pharmacy Assistant within the Pharmacy team will involve duties in assisting the preparation of aseptically dispensed products, including Adult parenteral nutrition bags, clinical trial products, intravenous additives and chemotherapy.
It is imperative that we operate in a clean, pristine environment to ensure production of quality products and so cleaning will be a key duty alongside the team, as will packing and labelling of products. It is a varied role including taking telephone queries; supporting with stock control and you will be involved in the journey from production of medicines/products to delivery to our wards.

The Royal Devon University Trust (Eastern Services) Aseptic Unit has a modern facility on-site and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be part of our Aseptic Service team and the current service provided to our customers. We are a busy aseptic unit and have a dedicated team of technicians and assistant technical officers who deliver a fast response service working within Standard Operating Procedures and the Guide to Good Manufacturing practice.

We are looking for highly motivated, adaptable and conscientious full time applicant to join our existing team of technicians, assistants and pharmacists. They will have the ability to work part of a team, maintain accuracy under pressure, and possess good organisational, communication and numerical skills.

Weekly Pattern: 37.5 per week. Requirement to participate in 7 day working to include late duties, bank holidays and weekend working.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers)
