Agile Senior Research Nurse/Practitioner

Role Summary

We are seeking 2 experienced Research Nurse / Practitioner’s to be part of the Agile Research Delivery Team. These roles will support the delivery of research studies effectively and efficiently in community settings across the South West. The successful candidates will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of a portfolio of clinical trials and the line management of clinical research staff within the locality Team.

These Senior Research posts will require someone who has a range of clinical knowledge, skills and experience and who can act as a resource to advise and support those involved in clinical trials at all levels. You will be working on a broad range of clinical trials planning, implementing, organising and managing delivery and support.

One role will be based within the Mid Devon locality team and the other will be based within the Somerset locality team, both roles will incorporate a combination of office based and remote working. There is an expectation that the post-holder will travel to a number of locality venues within the community on a regular basis including GP Practices, acute trusts, care homes, schools, dental practices to assist with clinical research activities and engage and promote research across the Peninsula, therefore having a UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

These posts will support the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Regional Research Delivery Network, South West Peninsula’s (RRDN SWP) expanding Agile Research Delivery Team, supporting research across a variety of clinical specialties and a range of settings.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working in each county across the South West Peninsula. These current vacancies represent an exciting opportunity for  motivated and hardworking Nurse/Practitioners to be involved in research delivery, across Health and Social care settings.  The portfolio of studies and locations offers the chance for this role to be both challenging and rewarding for the right candidate. You must be willing to be mobile and flexible in your working approach.

We will accept applicants with NMC, AHP or CRP registration.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm
