Role Summary

The post holder will fulfil all tasks associated with the smooth running of the administration department, liaising with other departments as necessary. As well as dealing with requests to access health records, diary management, typing letters and reports, note taking, operating a bring forward system and preparation of agenda’s and associated papers.

The Sexual Assault Referral Service (SARC) supports all people in Devon and Cornwall who have experienced rape or sexual assault. We provide a range of services including forensic examination, medical assessments and counselling for adults and children who have suffered sexual harm. The admin function supports the efficient delivery of the service, supporting the clinical and managerial teams in their day to day work. This will include answering the telephones, taking minutes, data entry, managing diaries and other admin related tasks as required.

Act as the first point of contact for the Service dealing with service users, health professionals, the Police and members of the public; deal with queries efficiently ensuring messages are passed to the relevant staff; meet and greet visitors when appropriate; take minutes where required; arrange meetings and coordinate diaries; circulate child protection reports; liaise with SARC staff on a regular basis; work as part of a team and maintaining office function in the absence of other staff members.

Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Services (SARC) have recently been awarded a new seven-year contract to provide services for people who have experienced sexual harm in Devon and Cornwall, across our three SARC sites in; Exeter, Plymouth and Truro. We are looking for an efficient administrator to provide cover for Maternity leave, for a period of 12 months, in our Exeter office, based in Pynes Hill.

This administrator role is vital in the support of the clinical team, who provide forensic examinations for those over the age of 16 who have been recently sexually assaulted or raped, to support police prosecutions, emotional and health wellbeing.

This is an exciting time to join our multi-disciplinary team of Doctors, Specialist Nurses and Therapists. Devon and Cornwall SARCs are recognised nationally as a centre of best practice with their innovative and forward-thinking approach to delivering services to those that have experienced significant Trauma.

Full training will be provided by the post holder, prior to their maternity leave.  Further support will be available from other admin team members and lead crisis workers, who will work along side this role.

We are looking for someone eager to learn and develop within this specialism, which holds patient centred care at the very forefront of all that we do.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
