Role Summary

We’re seeking a passionate, self-driven, goal-focused individual with good organisation skills and attention to detail to join our team. This role sits within the Corporate Services and Admin Team of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) South West Peninsula Regional Research Delivery Network (SWP RRDN). You’ll work alongside colleagues passionately working to grow and improve access to research across the South West Peninsula region (Cornwall, Devon and Somerset). Your role will include supporting the Admin Team in a wide range of core functions, as well as learning and providing specialised support to a range of research functions across our growing team.

This role can be based in our offices in Exeter, Plymouth or Truro, and incorporates a combination of office-based and remote working. There is an expectation that the post holder will be willing to travel to attend and support meetings and events across the region.

This post will support the entirety of the NIHR SWP RRDN team in a broad range of functions, enabling the smooth running of day-to-day activities. Duties will vary from day to day and include diary management, event and meeting booking, processing invoices, dealing with queries and a wide range of more specialised duties in support to our varied services.

The current vacancy represents an exciting development opportunity for a motivated, hardworking and innovative administrator to be involved in supporting research across health and social care settings. You must be willing to be mobile and flexible in your working approach. Research experience is not essential as full training will be provided for all duties.

Administrator - NIHR SWP RRDN (NIHR South West Peninsula Regional Research Delivery Network)

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. Part-time considered.

Main location: Exeter (NIHR SWP RRDN, Vantage Point, Pynes Hill, Exeter, EX2 5FD). Post-holder may also be based in our Plymouth or Truro office as preferred.
