Role Summary
Speciality Specific Information: The Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) is a specialist service which supports men, women and children who have been raped and sexually assaulted, through the criminal justice system.
The administrator will be based in the Exeter Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) and will provide business support to the SARC Team. Day to day running of SARC office, data input, minute taking and writing, letter writing, answering office phone and managing queries from the public and professionals about the SARC service.
The post holder will fulfil all administration tasks and work as part of a team to meet the needs of the service.
The post holder will be responsible for their own workload, including having responsibility for financial and personnel administration, overseeing maintenance of building(s) and dealing with clients/visitors and multi-disciplinary teams. As the service expands there may be a requirement for the post holder to supervise and allocate work to staff in lower bands.

Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Services (SARC) have recently been awarded a new seven-year contract to provide services for people who have experienced sexual harm in Devon and Cornwall, across our three SARC sites in; Exeter, Plymouth and Truro. We are looking for an extremely efficient administrator to provide cover in our Exeter office, based in Pynes Hill.
This administrator role is vital in the support of the clinical team, who provide forensic examinations for all ages, who have been recently sexually assaulted or raped, to support police prosecutions, emotional and health wellbeing.
This is an exciting time to join our multi-disciplinary team of Doctors, Specialist Nurses and Therapists. Devon and Cornwall SARCs are recognised nationally as a centre of best practice, with their innovative and forward-thinking approach to delivering services, to those that have experienced significant Trauma.
Full training will be provided to the post holder, upon appointment. Further support will be available from lead crisis workers, who will work alongside the role.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
