Administrative Line Manager

Role Summary

The Administrative Line Manager is responsible for the line management of administrative staff and the day to day running of administrative functions. Specifically, the post holder will:

  • Ensure all staff are managed appropriately and within parameters set by the Clinical Service Manager and Admin Services Manager
  • Ensure the administrative service is appropriately resourced and the work is closely aligned to the needs of the Trust’s strategic agenda and direction
  • Ensure that administrative services function effectively 
  • Support and motivate the administrative workforce 
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and share knowledge 
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with relevant policies/procedures
  • Ensure information is secure and confidentiality is maintained 
  • Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of leading a team and have the ability to confidently communicate with staff at all levels. Recent experience of training and supervision of a team and the provision of peer support on a day to day basis are pre-requisites for success in this role.

If you enjoy the challenge of continually improving systems and processes, and have strong analytical and data handling skills, then this role will provide you with the job satisfaction you seek.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to lead a team under pressure and to motivate and support staff, to ensure they achieve their full potential.

You will be self-motivated and able to work across a range of programmes and priorities, with colleagues across the organisation. This is a varied and demanding role working as part of a friendly and supportive team. We expect all leaders to demonstrate our Trust values and this will be evident in everything you do. This job requires a positive attitude and outlook, a willingness to embrace change, a supportive and nurturing management style and a desire to promote a culture in which the patient, their safety and care are at the forefront of everything we do.
