Role Summary
We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to join the Endoscopy Admin team on a 12-month fixed term contract or a secondment for existing staff. This post is designed for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player to join an extremely busy team to help support and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
The Endoscopy Unit is expanding and we are looking forward to our new Endoscopy Diagnostic Centre, based at Tiverton Hospital, opening in April 2025. This role is vital in ensuring that we have the necessary staffing and resources in place before this date and you will need to ensure that you contribute to the success of our new Centre. As such, there will be a requirement for some travel between Exeter and Tiverton.

The Team Leader role provides day to day supervision of the Endoscopy Admin team. You must have good attention to detail together with the ability to prioritise your own and the teams work to ensure that our patients receive the best care whilst achieving key targets.
Key aspects of the role to include:
- Manage the rotas for the team
- Run an effective and efficient weekly PTL meeting ensuring that the waiting list and work queues are accurate to ensure that our key target dates are met
- Undertake or assist the Admin Line Manager in return to work interviews and absence management monitoring as well as in the delivery of PDR’s and 1:1’s for team members
- Support recruitment campaigns by undertaking or assisting the Admin Line Manager in shortlisting of candidates.
- Ensure that the team complete required and essential mandatory training
- To ensure Trust databases (e.g. Health Roster) are kept up to date
- Carry out routine analysis of information as directed by manager, carrying out research to support analysis of information
- Accurately take minutes at meetings
You will need to have strong IT skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate the team under challenging circumstances with a willingness to embrace change.
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week however we are happy to consider applications for 30 hours per week
