Role Summary
To lead, manage and develop a team of acute dietitians providing a dietetic service to defined clinical specialities and to manage and develop the service provision within these areas.
Provide a specialist dietetic role within enteral nutrition and nutrition support, working closely with the MDT, contributing to the education and training of others and developing policies, standards and guidelines to enhance quality of patient care across the healthcare community.

Are you interested in working in a beautiful part of the country in a friendly, dynamic and forward-thinking team?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative team player with enteral feeding and nutrition support knowledge and skills to provide a specialist inpatient and outpatient dietetic service. The role is to sustain, develop and initiate evidence-based practice in this area working closely with the nutrition support team and lead and support an acute team of 7 dietitians and a dietetic assistant practitioner.
You will be part of a wider dietetic team of 28 wte dietitians, 2 wte dietetic assistant practitioners and 1 dietetic support worker. The team includes specialists in paediatrics, oncology, gastroenterology, intestinal failure, CF, renal, community and HEF. The department has good integrated services with other AHP’s and is committed to personal development supporting each dietitian’s potential for growth.
An essential component of the role will involve audit, policy development and update and implementing dietetic outcome measures further. You will participate in the training of dietetic students undertaking B and C placements and other health care professionals including medical students undertaking Specialist Study Units.
